After a long trial period of showing, Sterling has decided he is starting to dislike going to shows, so we will retire him from conformation shows. He has always done well in the classes so far, but with only one point from two winner’s dog wins, it’s clear he is just not what judges are looking for. He will join his sister as a performance sport-only dog in CABT and FastCAT.
Great ribbon haul from his class, jr dogs 12-18, but no luck at winner’s dog…
Sterling is, for a few weeks at least, the fastest Great Dane dog of 2018, 2nd fastest in the breed, in AKC’s Fast CAT 100yd timed sprint. He is 26th fastest in the breed lifetime, but the sport has only been out for 3 years.
I hope he liked it, since he’s going to have to repeat that ride again…
